This retrospective shows the path that MDAUTEUIL took before arriving at the current works.
From 2006 to 2010
This is the period when the artist transfers his passion for drawing in painting.
She decides to devote herself full time by putting aside her studies in psychology that will be beneficial to her in the creative process.
From 2010 to 2015
At this time, the style of the artist is well defined.
The line becomes her new challenge.
The intention is to sort meticulously in boxes, create a balance.
She is interested in the psychology of spatial vision to guide herself in the realisation of her works.
COLLECTION 2011 (SOLD)
Linked to her revelation period, it is the transformation of the figurative to completely abstract art.
The new paintings almost all have a black background and a frame is well installed.
The silver pigment is omnipresent. The artist tames the painted line freehand.
From 2012 to 2013
COLLECTION 2012-2013 (SOLD)
Wanting to deepen her technique, she relies on meticulousness and consistency.
The lines are neater, better defined and the repeated acrylic dots are aligned.
Adding many details while maintaining a sleek look.
WOOD WORK (AVAILABLE ARTWORKS)
The artist has acquired new skills from arts and crafts training.
Jewelery, for the integration of metals and semi-precious stones.
The apprenticeship of torch-blown glass personalizes her works by adding a small piece of moretti that she calls her "little worlds".
POSTPARTUM WORKS (AVAILABLE ARTWORKS)
Back after her pregnancy, MDAUTEUIL puts on standby its cartesian side to make room for curves.
We find snake moulting, jewelery, fur, semi-precious stones, brass, zinc, gold, sterling silver, soot, ecological resin. all in an organic atmosphere.
The paintings are more like jewels than paintings.
WORKS WITH BONES (AVAILABLE ARTWORKS)
It is a dormant project that finally comes to life.
In contact with death in recent years, MDAUTEUIL asking herself a lot of questions. Why do we bury the dead? Why are the bones so lugubrious? Why is this subject taboo?
In short, after a few years taming the bones offered to her, her vision has totally changed.
She sees life in them and wants to show people how bones are artworks in itself.
She thinks that we would accept death more if we were more in contact with her.
